it's just a bad place to be close to
there's a ton of magic there focused on making that city look normal

that sucks
a lot of kids that go to my summer camp have run away from home
either because they were kicked out or lost whatever parent they had that was taking care of them at the time
i'm not sure that's something you hate another person for
you're allowed to have your doubts
