[ The most important thing here is that Scott sends an attached, shirtless image of himself. Which may be nice under ordinary circumstances, nice if it weren't for the deep gashes spiraling up his torso, up to his neck. They're still bleeding out, staining the top of his sweatpants with blood, obviously left untreated - and Scott plans to keep it that way.

But the ring of Scott's phone alerts some walkers, and Scott can't walk ( run, he tries to run but it slows him down more ) away fast enough, before one of them is sinking his or her teeth down into Scott's shoulder, and altering the entire point behind this trip. Scott gets them before they completely devour him, but the bite burns after, pulsates, and if he were trying to ignore it there's no way he can now - not with the impending reminder of you're going to die, and you're going to take everyone you love with you.
So Scott sits down against some wall, debating the doom of his situation here - half waiting for another walker to come along and end it right now before he can turn into one of them.
And then he remembers that if he doesn't text back, Isaac will worry, so he takes out his phone and starts thundering off a response. ]
